I don’t know what struck into my mind, but I’ve decided to return to Wordpress.
At my first run with Habari, I’ve encountered a problem transferring my posts from Wordpress to Habari with its plugin. And the reason is my Habari is running on SQLite and Wordpress on MySQL. So, I thought it’s okay because I only have few posts on Wordpress. But, my frustrations with Habari grew.
I find theming in Habari… not hard, but not comfortable. I’ll code with the naked PHP itself. I don’t have problems with PHP because I have knowledge about it (not full knowledge) but the problem is my lack of knowledge on what variables and classes to use. There is a lack of documentation and tutorials.
So, before I decided to go back to Wordpress, I tried Chyrp. Same goes there.
It’s me having problems on other CMSes. I don’t know why, but I’m more comfortable with Wordpress despite the negative reviews I’ve read. But, soon I’ll get to know Habari and Chyrp.
On the other hand, I’ll change the look of this site. I’m aiming for a paper-like theme. I don’t know.

I’m really fascinated with Habari. It’s very lightweight and the organization of the files is really… organized. The fact that it’s hard to theme in Habari made me feel I don’t want to convert this site but I saw a site that has Wordpress functions’ equivalent to Habari. I was happy.
All I need is a new database. I’ve requested it to Modi. Hope she’ll reply with the information. Also, the theme I’m working offline – which means it’s in the localhost. Plus, the Habari software itself.
I hope my conversion will be a success.
Oh, I’m thinking of not making the domain berto.me, instead, I’ll make it bertoerto.com. The name sounds exciting and loopy!

I’m going to buy a domain named berto.me by March 2010 – the month of my birthday. It costs 1,200 Pesos. Need to save.
I’m probably going to switch to Habari by this week. I find it much better.
That’s all.

I added a question mark after the ‘coming’ word because it’s just that I feel it’s still Christmas. I’m still not getting over it. Yet, a new year will come — 2010.
I’m hoping for a peaceful and productive year. As much as possible, I want to do something every second of the year 2010 because I haven’t done anything. Believe it or not, these past 6 days, all I do is wake up, watch TV, eat, computer, eat, watch TV, sleep and the cycle goes on. And the task that covers my day the most is the computer. Haha. Yes, because I’m fixing this site.
To fix myself, here’s my list of what I will do and fulfill next year. In short, New Year’s Resolutions.
- I want to go out and buy things that can benefit me next year.
- Hang out more with my friends is a good thing, too.
- Saving up, also.
- Never be late in school.
- Less computer time.
- Study harder. Want to be on top, honestly.
Though, I’m sure that there’s more to come and I’ll not fulfill them all. I’ll try my best to do them all.
To all, have a prosperous New Year!

It’s just this time that my theme is plain insane! My style.css won’t save my changes. It keeps going back to a plain, blank CSS. I don’t know whose fault is it : Wordpress, my theme or Filezilla?
I’m gonna fix this as soon as possible.
EDIT (December 30, 2009): It’s now fixed. It seems that my host’s host has problems.
